Fisher™ 249 Series Caged Sensors
Fisher 249 caged level sensors provide more stable operation than do cageless sensors for vessels with internal obstructions or considerable internal turbulence. These sensors are designed to measure changes in liquid level, liquid interface level, or density/specific gravity inside a process vessel using Archimedes’ Principle.

Features
- Caged 249 series sensors come standard with a liquid damping orifice in the lower equalizing connection that helps stability where vessel capacitance is small and permits narrower proportional valve settings.
- Displacer reaction to small specific gravity changes allows these instruments to be used for density applications and in other applications where a response to low levels of input signal change is required.
- Few moving parts are used. A knife-edged driver bearing in the sensor helps to provide low-friction operation. Sensors are available in ratings up to CL2500.
- Caged sensors are available in a variety of orientations and connection styles, and all sensors can be either right or left hand mounted.
- The torque tube can be replaced without removing the torque tube arm.
Fisher™ 2500 Pneumatic Level Controller
Fisher 2500 pneumatic level controllers provide rugged, dependable, and simply constructed pneumatic instrumentation for liquid level, interface level, and density service.

Features
- For quick analog transmitter replacement, the instrument may be configured with default sensor data, zero level offset, differential process SG, and zero/span procedure only.
- Accurate, high-gain analog-to-digital conversion enables measurement of small changes in the process variable. This allows for use in difficult liquid level, interface, or density applications.
- An internal temperature sensor enables consistent performance of the digital level controller, despite ambient temperature changes.
- Mechanical safeguards designed into the digital level controller help to withstand physical abuse often incurred during installation or in transport, without compromising performance.
- Field wiring connections are in a compartment separated from the electronics. This protects the electronics from any moisture brought into the housing by the field wiring.
- Includes self-diagnostics that detect an error that may render the process variable measurement inaccurate.
